| The Warehousing Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. | |
| ·
Provide direction for a variety of logistics services and activities
required for all locations to include primary contact for transportation
carrier relations; administer and negotiate for transportation
services; issue and maintain transportation procedures; administer
freight payment programs coordinating with the Corporate Freight Payment
Center and internal Finance and Systems organizations
· Provide leadership to employees engaged in import / export activities for the business · Direct traffic activities such as carrier selection, tracing, expediting, chartering, maintain routing system including Premium Transportation Authorization (issue / audit / debits) · Responsible for oversight of trucking operation and Department of Transportation regulations · Handle carrier relations to assure appropriate level of service for all modes · Handle miscellaneous traffic activities; design personal computer based systems to facilitate Traffic · Promote the cost consciousness of Sourcing, Production, and Marketing personnel regarding transportation costs of GE assets | |
