Fitch Ratings is seeking a Credit Analyst at
Director level to join our Insurance team in London, focusing on the
ratings of Italian and other European insurers.

With coverage across all areas of the insurance market including life, non-life and reinsurance, our experienced analysts apply an open and balanced approach to credit assessment. Leveraging industry data and well-tested credit metrics, our analytical process is supported by a careful mix of quantitative and qualitative factors. Our global insurance team transforms data into actionable opinions that help investors confidently evaluate risk.
Our London-based Insurance team provides ratings and research on European insurers and supports Fitch’s growing coverage of insurance markets across Europe.
The successful candidate will:
carry out data analysis and insurance research and write credit rating reports
assume a considerable degree of responsibility and autonomy at an early stage
conduct in-depth meetings with senior management at rated institutions
present credit analysis on insurers for which they are responsible to a rating committee, deal with investor queries on their companies, prepare for and attend rating committees on other insurers and contribute to internal discussions on rating issues.
Person Specification:
Candidates must have a strong educational background including a good first degree, and significant relevant experience in the insurance industry, which may have been gained, for example, in an insurance company, a consultancy firm or in a credit analysis role. Fluency in Italian and English is essential.
