About the Role and Responsibilities

About the Role:
A Lead Development Representative will be responsible for proactive outbound prospecting and lead activity management, with the goal of qualifying prospects from lead status into the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a phone based sales environment talking with key decision makers to uncover and qualify sales opportunities. This person will be assigned to a business segment and will be expected to create opportunities to be followed up on by the Field and Inside Sales teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Meeting or exceeding daily/weekly call metrics, which include conversion of leads to opportunities and a minimum of 70 outbound calls per day.
- Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value of products supported to customers and prospects.
- Follow up on inbound leads generated through web-based and other marketing activities.
- Accurately record and schedule activities in the CRM tool.
- Responsible for specific targets and goals for outbound Call Campaigns.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- Experience in a sales environment, outbound phone sales experience is a plus.
- Outgoing and highly-personable with superb written and oral communication and persuasion skills.
- Comfortable reaching out via phone and/or email to target ("cold") prospects and conducting high-level business and/or technology discussions with them.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize technology tools that are mission-critical to lead generation activity.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales and other teams within the company.
- Must be able to communicate well in English (written and spoken skills).
