The Quality Operations Manager 5 demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
• Implement and lead process and quality improvement projects
• Work with engineering and production to identify, analyze, and solve production quality issues
• Responsible for directing the PGS LATAM employees in a particular cell to meet safety, quality, production, and delivery metrics
• Drive continuous improvement across key business objectives
• Develop and implement process controls
• Support PGS LATAM leaders in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and other resources
• Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality, and productivity improvement
• Identify skills and training gaps in the workforce and arrange the appropriate training and development on Quality and Operations Excellence
• Responsible for internal and external quality issues
• Drive and implement a true quality culture into the organization
• Champion the use of Six Sigma tools in problem solving and work closely with MBB & BB quality leaders to drive quality process
• Lead the customer external quality improvement activities
• Track technical support / defect metrics and drive systematic analysis & improvement actions" - Work with operating leaders and teams to create a roadmap of continuous improvement projects and track the implementation and the effect of the customer - Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a quality, operations, or project management position)
• At least 3 additional years of experience in a quality, operations, or project management role
• Knowledge of quality systems (i.e. ISO 9001)
• Ability to handle problems and continuously improve project
• Six Sigma training preferred (GB)
• Quality certification (i.e. CQE) is preferred
• Prior leadership experience and training is preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
• Strong team player and charismatic leader, capable of selling ideas and managing change
• Sound financial acumen • Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills .
• Ability to speak English and Spanish
