PIMCO is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development professional with a focus on institutional clients in Latin America, particularly in the Southern Cone – Chile, Argentina and Uruguay – to be based in our Rio office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Identify new business development opportunities (i.e. investors, asset pools, channels), lead marketing/sales campaigns, conduct finals presentations, and close business
•Serve as a product expert at client meetings, prospective client meetings (including finals presentations), consultant meetings and industry conferences
•Develop and maintain a variety of different types of materials to support new business development, existing business and other specific product management initiatives and responsibilities
•Provide current insight regarding the firm and product specific investment philosophy, process, strategy, performance and other relevant information directly or indirectly to clients, prospective clients and consultants
•Understand local regulations and trends as well as and current or future opportunities that derive from them
•Serve as a product specific contact for clients, prospective clients and consultants
•Utilize in an efficient manner the firm’s internal resources to respond to client, prospective client and consultant product specific requests for information and other inquiries in a timely manner
Position Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
•A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in managing fixed income assets (either buy side or sell side) or equivalent skill/knowledge expertise as it relates to the position
•Excellent fixed income product knowledge, with a multi asset focus particularly equities and alternatives
•Macro strategic and economic skills to provide a global and regional overlay to portfolio construction
•Solutions-driven individual with an ability to build and drive business
•Well organized, high energy level/self starter, must work well in a team environment and flexible to travel as needed
•Good communicator with strong presentation ability to work within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment, as well as with external consultants and clients
•Clear commitment to PIMCO’s culture, values and approach
•Unassailable ethics and integrity
•Native of Chile strongly preferred
•Must be completely fluent in Spanish and English, and proficient in Portuguese
EDUCATION
•MBA from a well recognized school or equivalent experience and knowledge as it relates to the position.
•CFA Charter or progress towards the Charter preferred
